A frosty start with temperatures dipping to -2C in some areas sets the scene for a changing weather pattern. As an anticyclone establishes itself, much of England and Wales can expect drier conditions and a gradual warming trend into the weekend.

A large anticyclone's parked right over Britain today, bringing fine and dry weather for most. Meanwhile, storm 'Boris' has left our continental neighbours reeling from catastrophic floods.

As autumn takes hold, a shift in weather patterns brings increasingly unsettled conditions across the UK. Expect a mix of rain, thunderstorms, and cooler temperatures.

A stable weather pattern dominated by continental high pressure begins to give way tomorrow, as Atlantic systems edge eastward bringing increasingly unsettled conditions. Initial changes will affect western areas first, before spreading across the country.

Steadily rising pressure, mild but damp in mostly light winds, often cloudy or dull with lingering mist, hill & coastal fog. Somewhat colder & brighter later in week but a risk of night frost.

Dominant high pressure brings quiet and mainly dry conditions. A spooky Halloween with mist, patchy fog and low Cloud. Breezier in the far North with showers.

After what seems like an endless stream of gloomy days across much of Britain, a change in our weather pattern is finally on the cards. The persistent blanket of cloud that's dominated our skies is about to give way to something altogether more cheerful.

High pressure continues to dominate UK weather, bringing sunny spells but also mist and fog patches. Temperatures 8-13C with overnight frost in places. Mainly dry, though eastern areas see some showers. Turning notably colder from the North by weekend.

Arctic air will grip the UK for the next few days but with sunshine and overnight frosts. It will be showers in the N/NW flow that will bring snow to exposed parts. Wrap up warm from the breeze.
