Another warm, breezy day in the forecast Wednesday. Fire risk remains a concern, if alerts are posted or not, as the wind gusts up to 40 mph. The record highs of 81 degrees could be tied or broken. A round of showers/t-showers are likely early Thursday morning. A cold front passes midday, the wind will turn to the northwest, temperatures fill fall from 70 degrees, and the rain will clear prior to trick-or-treating. The heaviest rain will fall Wednesday evening, then temperatuers fall. There is a Wind Advisory for all the our Indiana counties, but alert or not, it wil be a windy day with peak gusts in thera early afternoon. The forecast is calmer and clearer the rest of the week. The rain ends, the wind calms and temperatures fall into Wednesday. The end of the week is uneventful, fair and seasonable. Saturday is dry but Saturday night rain will begin to spread across the area, and that could impact the Florida State - Notre Dame game. Rain is likely Sunday.

Temperatures fall through Thursday, another round of rain is likely Wednesday morning, then a low swings through and brings a rain/snow mix starting Thursday morning. Thursday will be the most impactful weather day of the season so far, slushy wet snow and wind. Accumulation will be temporary, most likely on the grass but will melt as the ground -- especially the pavement — is above freezing. Accumulation upwards of one inch is possible. Big wet flakes that glob together, and wind gusts up to 40 mph could make for low visibility, the greatest concern for drivers. Temperatures range between 30 and 40 degrees during the day. The precipitation gradually ends into Friday. The weekend is dry, with temperatures rising through the 40s.

The snow ends this evening and temperatures warm overnight, nearing 40 degrees by Friday morning. As the snow melts a few rain showers are possible Friday morning. The clouds break, at least a little bit this weekend, temperatures rise near 50 degrees by Sunday. This weekend will be favorable for yard work and installing holiday decorations. Monday is the next round of rain. There is no major weather expected through Thanksgiving Day, at this point. There is a chance of light now Thursday morning. The forecast does look colder to start December.
