Although Kimber-Lee left us far too soon, the loving impact she left on the hearts of family, friends, and her community will be felt for years to come. Many knew her as Kim, but for the past 19 years, her family knew her as Gram. She fought a tough battle against cancer for the past two years with unwavering strength, courage, prayers, and the love of those around her. Even through the most difficult times, she never lost her infectious smile. Right up until her last days, she continued to worry about and care for the well-being of others, as that was simply the kind of person she was.

Bernie was born Bernadine Marie Brennan to Alfred and Irma Brennan on November 14, 1929 and passed away five days after her 95th birthday. Bernie grew up on Johnny Creek in Eugene, CA. She graduated eighth grade from Rosedale School, a one room school house. She then graduated from Oakdale High School, where she excelled in sports and was a cheerleader.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rhys John Ludlow, 19, of Oakdale, CA, on July 26, 2024, due to complications with his type one diabetes.

Gary Nannini passed away peacefully on November 15th, 2024, at his home in Oakdale, CA, surrounded by his wife and three daughters. He was 79 years old. Son of Jim and Daibe Fallis, he was born in Firebaugh, CA. He is survived by his wife, Sissy Stroud; three daughters and their husbands, Dawn and John Kelly, Michelle and Mike Pepe, and Kim and Dave Hill; seven grandchildren, Ben, Noah, Piper, Owen, David, Brooke, and Madden; and two brothers, Alan and Randall. He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Ed and David.

Roberta (Robbins) Carver, a woman who embodied tenacity and love in equal measure, left us on November 8, 2024, at the age of 69, after a two-year battle with lung cancer. Born on August 20, 1955, in Brownfield, Texas, Roberta was a lifelong firecracker; bringing her unique blend of spunk and sincerity to everyone she met.

Members of the Soroptimist International of Oakdale invite everyone to join in for the ‘Magic of the Nutcracker’ holiday luncheon, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec 4.
