The Orrin G. Hatch Foundation announced the inaugural recipients of the OGH Intern Scholarship Thursday evening. The new initiative recognizes Utah students who have demonstrated a commitment to public service through Capitol Hill internships. Utah Valley University (UVU) has launched the Freshman Concurrent Enrollment Merit Scholarship, aimed at rewarding high school students who took college courses through its concurrent enrollment program. Mayor Jenny Wilson, the Salt Lake County Council, and the county’s independently elected officials signed a joint proclamation today naming September 2026 Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month.
