Kicking off 2025, this next generation of Arizona Car Week will debut here in the Valley Jan. 17-26 with an enhanced line up, featuring several new and existing events.

The WM Phoenix Open, renowned as "The People's Open," is set to return to TPC Scottsdale from Feb. 3-9, marking its 90th anniversary. Organizers have announced several enhancements aimed at improving the fan experience and maintaining the event's status as one of the premier stops on the PGA TOUR.

The first of its kind in the country, Electric Pickle is where the thrill of pickleball and outdoor entertainment meets globally inspired cuisine in an elevated ambiance. With five additional openings planned on the horizon, Tempe will be the debut city for the expanding brand.

Aspiring lifeguards can look forward to flexible schedules, competitive pay, and comprehensive training. Successful applicants will work in a team-oriented environment at the state-of-the-art facility while serving the community and ensuring public safety.

The event is free for residents, but registration is required and closes on Monday, Feb. 3. Residents can register online at QueenCreekAZ.gov/RecycleEvents. Those who register by the deadline will receive a Fast Pass via email 48 hours before the event, allowing for expedited drop-off.

The Valley's favorite holiday tradition, ZooLights, is returning for two special drive-through nights on January 13 and 14. Guests can experience the dazzling light displays, presented by SRP, from the comfort of their vehicles, making it an accessible and fun way to enjoy the holiday magic.

“We get so excited to see the community involvement,” said Amanda O'Fallon, the shelter's fundraising director. “We start getting inquiries months in advance about donation drop-offs, and when people see the incredible items others have donated, they make sure to come back to shop. All funds raised from this event directly benefit the dogs and cats that Friends for Life rescues.”

K-12 students living in or attending school in the Town's water service area can submit their artwork through Tuesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. for a chance to win fun prizes and display their artwork in the Queen Creek Library Lobby during Earth Month this April.
