Another hot day, but temps will gradually drop during the week. Increasing monsoon moisture will bring scattered showers & t-storms across the state today and linger into early next week.

Scattered showers & t-storms are most likely across Eastern Utah today. Isolated storms over SW UT & very low chance along Wasatch Front. Isolated flash flooding possible in Central & Southern UT.

Scattered PM showers & t-storms are expected over the higher terrain today. Heavy rain that could lead to flash flooding is most likely across Southern, Central, & NE Utah.

A surge of monsoonal moisture will bring the threat of PM t-storms with heavy rainfall. The highest threat will be across Southern UT. More of the same through the weekend and into much of next week.

Pioneer Day will be a hot one! Temperatures will climb near 100 along the Wasatch Front today and hover close to that into early next week.

A "breather" before triple digit temps return! Temperatures were several degrees cooler this morning and hopefully gave some of you a chance to cool the house off without having to pay for the AC!
