Damage to lines is said to be the cause of the widespread Spectrum outage Friday. Charter spokesperson Scott Pryzwansky said technical teams are working to restore the service, which has been down all day Friday in most of Hampton Roads, including customers in Suffolk. Pryzwansky did not say how long the outage may last, but as of 10:25 p.m. Friday, DownDetector.com still shows an active outage throughout Hampton Roads and into Isle of Wight and Southampton County.
