There isn’t much to the dining room of this casual Mills 50 Korean barbecue spot. The fun is happening at the center of the table, where marinated cuts of beef and pork sizzle away. You can pick specific cuts of beef and pork, but it’s easier to go with one of the platter options that feed parties of two up to seven. Get one that comes with the rib fingers, an amazingly tender cut that’s basically a slab of rib meat minus the bone. You could—though we’re not sure why you would—eat here without even turning on the grill. On the back of the menu, they have soups, stews, and noodle dishes. Feel free to add a pajun or tteokbokki to your order, but focus on the barbecue, especially if it’s your first time here.

If you often find yourself lecturing people against their will about the significance of a smoke ring, then consider Smokemade an essential Orlando stop. This Texas-style barbecue spot nails everything low-and-slow barbecue. The brisket, pork ribs, sausage, and turkey breast all lived in the smoker out back for exactly as long as necessary, and not a millisecond longer. The sides are great too, especially the pork fat-spiked collard greens and the sweet pinto beans (which also get some help from beef and pork). The dining room is exactly what you want in a great barbecue spot: there’s personal space between tables, an entire roll of paper towels within arm’s reach, and an unfinished concrete floor you don’t have to feel guilty about spilling sauce on.
