With the rains setting the perfect pitch for relishing the ilish, we set about to get a taste of Oh! Calcutta's newly-launched Hilsa menu on a rain-washed mid-week afternoon. Curated by Anjan Chatterjee, along with his team of chefs, this delectable seasonal menu offers a few rare hilsa dishes inspired by his mother's recipes.

Celebrated designer duo Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja continue exploring the evocative artwork of Henri Matisse in their sartorial creations. And their latest safari and resort collections, Zuri & Maurice, are a befitting homage to the great artist. Zuri captures the quieter side of a safari holiday through Matisse's world. Inspired by painterly works like The Window, Still Life with Lemons and Interior with Egyptian Curtains, the collection unfolds in soft shades of bone white, sand, muted ochre, smoke grey and ink black. Fabrics include crisp cottons, silks, chiffons, textured linens and the label's signature Italian jerseys, alongside hyper-dimensional knitwear. Maurice is a celebration of colour, movement and the joy of resort living.

Designer Abhinav Mishra's Couture 2026 collection, The Queen's Palace, inspired by the grandeur, romance, and celebrations that once unfolded within India's historic Queen's Palaces. The collection explores light as a design language, drawing from the brilliance of mirrors, stones, and crystals and the way they transform spaces and garments.

Luxe label Matsya by Utkarsh Ahuja has unveiled its latest couture collection, Vintage Bridal. Inspired by the romance of royal portraits and the enduring beauty of heirloom couture, the collection reimagines bridal wear for the modern bride. Crafted in rich velvets and luxurious silks, and adorned with intricate hand embroidery, the collection features a sophisticated palette of forest green, vintage Bordeaux, Persian plum, and royal jade. Terra Luna's latest monsoon collection for women is crafted with organic khadi cotton for everyday dressing during the humid season. The collection celebrates India's rich textile heritage and the versatility of khadi through a contemporary wardrobe. It features handcrafted prints, relaxed silhouettes, including dresses, co-ords, trousers and shirts, and more. The palette blends cerulean blues, soft corals, fresh greens, and timeless neutrals with subtle stripes, checks, and artistic prints. Founder Stuti Dhanuka takes us through the collection.

Punit Balana's latest drop, Noor Bagh, is a special edit that's deeply personal for the designer. The collection is built around a refined two-colour palette — buttercup, a warm, luminous yellow that captures the optimism of summer, and Saleti (powder blue), a soft, understated shade that brings a sense of calm and elegance. “The soothing range explores a rich mix of luxurious yet lightweight fabrics including Chanderi, silk, chiffon, organza silk, and satin, chosen for their fluidity, texture and comfort. These fabrics create movement while retaining a polished, couture-like finish, making them ideal for modern celebratory dressing,” says Punit. In terms of silhouettes, Noor Bagh offers a wide spectrum. From draped skirts paired with structured corsets and tailored waistcoats styled with lehengas, to classic choli-ghagra sets, and long kurtas with churidars, the collection has all kinds of styles to suit your summer occasions. Couturier JJ Valaya unveiled Siddi, his latest Autumn/Winter 2026 couture collection, at Hyundai India Couture Week 2026. Coinciding with the showcase, the designer also introduced a new high couture bridal space at his Delhi flagship store, The World of Valaya, housed within JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity. This new space and collection mark the beginning of the journey towards celebrating 35 years of his design journey next year.
