The 2026 Marion County Fair crossed the halfway point of the annual event on Monday.

Pella Christian Schools has announced their intentions to petition for assistance with placement in an athletic conference beginning in the 2028–2029 school year.

The Pella Christian softball team has seen a drastic turnaround in results over the past three years, due in large part to the team’s senior leadership.

The Central College women’s golf team had three players recognized as All-American scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association, continuing a long tradition of academic prowess for the program. Mickey Martens was recognized for the third time, Allie Pfantz was honored for the second time, and Chloe Sundet was recognized for the first time. For selection, honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and compete in 50% of the team’s rounds. It’s the 14th time in 15 years that at least one Central player was cited. Nationwide, 1,551 players at all levels of women’s college golf were selected.

Pella Christian Schools announced their plans to seek assistance with athletic conference realignment last month in an effort to start the clock on the two-year time period required to remain a member of the Little Hawkeye Conference.

While their final season on Eagle Lane didn’t go as they had hoped, the seniors for the Pella Christian baseball team left their impact on the program with their character and attitude.
