Instead of only doing a food review this week, I decided to learn more about Cafe Momentum, a restaurant and non-profit in Market Square. Not only did I taste the food, but I also learned about its mission of providing kids 15 to 19 years old, affected by the juvenile system within the last 12 months, with paid internships.

In my three years at Point Park, I’ve heard numerous rumors about the Mon Wharf. Students will say that unhoused people stay down there, people overdose and do drugs down there, people vandalize the parking lot and will beat you up if you see them, people use the bathroom in the Wharf, and the best of every allegation, you may be robbed or assaulted in the wharf.

I have heard many good things about Condado Tacos on Liberty Avenue, a restaurant that serves tacos, tequila and margaritas.

I was reporting at the event when I realized what he had done was put a golden feather in my lap for an election-themed Burgh Bites.

The food at Everyday Noodles restaurant was incredibly authentic. All the noodles are made by hand and the cooks do so behind a piece of glass so diners can watch. The owner works with the Taiwanese government to bring cooks to the United States, according to the restaurant’s website.
