Choteau Chamber of Commerce members are working on the annual holiday shopping promotions. Snowflake light pole decorations will be going up on Main Avenue North shortly, and the Chamber is encouraging business owners to decorate the planters outside their businesses in keeping with the holiday promotional theme of “A Winter Wonderland.”

Twenty high school boys have gone out for the 2024-25 basketball season, which starts this weekend as Choteau High School hosts Class C Sunburst on Saturday in nonconference action.

The Choteau High School girls basketball varsity team will see its first action of the 2024-25 season Dec. 7 when Choteau hosts nonconference Sunburst in the season opener.

The Choteau High School varsity Lady Bulldogs won their season opener at home against North Toole County High School in Sunburst, defeating the Refiners, 69-28, to launch their 2024-25 season.

The Choteau High School boys basketball teams opened their 2024-25 season with a nonconference win at home with the junior varsity and varsity squads defeating Sunburst teams.

The school tax credit program meeting on Dec. 5 at the Choteau Pavilion only drew a handful of interested citizens but those who came learned that the state program allows people to donate a portion of their state income taxes directly to the public school of their choice.

The board and staff at the Montana Dinosaur Center in Bynum treated visitors to Christmas cookies, hot apple cider, wassail and hot chocolate amongst other holiday goodies on Dec. 14.

The Choteau High School Lady Bulldogs basketball varsity team split on the weekend at the nonconference Three Forks Tip-Off tournament. The CHS girls lost to Ennis and defeated Lone Peak.
