ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Hot summer weather to start the week. Monday will bring temps into the upper 80s. Even hotter with building humidity Tuesday. Yellow Alert Tuesday on the Threat Tracker for a dangerous combination of hot weather and high humidity. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s with the feel like heat index 100-105 degrees. Take it easy doing any outdoor activities and drink plenty of water and take breaks indoors. Gusty winds 30-40mph Tuesday.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker is Yellow today for a few hours of dangerous heat and humidity Tuesday afternoon. Temps will soar into the low to mid 90s after the lunch hour through 5PM. The record high temp for Rochester today is 97 set in 1952. The humidity will also be noticeably higher this afternoon. The feel like Heat Index will reach 100 to 105 degrees. Heat Advisories are in effect area wide for the hot weather. If you are outside for an extended period of time today, take breaks, and don't overdo it. Listen to your body and find some AC and drink cold water if you not feeling well. Wind gusts over 30mph are likely later today as well.

Cold front will approach the Rochester and Finger Lakes region during the day and bring an increasing threat for heavier weather through the afternoon hours. Be prepared on Tuesday for storms with heavy rain and local flash flooding, damaging wind gusts, large hail, lightning and even an isolated tornado possible. ROCHESTER, N.Y. – More nice weather ahead Sunday with just a small shower chance in the afternoon and evening. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase Monday and Tuesday. For now, the Threat Tracker is green, but we are keeping an eye on Tuesday for possible strong storms and locally heavy rain. Showers and thunder will continue into Wednesday before we dry out later next week. Stay tuned for updates on the thunder threat for next week.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker has a Yellow Alert for Tuesday as thunderstorms with heavy rain will impact the region. Multiple downpours through the day may bring over an inch of rain with some areas closer to two inches possible into Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Rain totals that high could produce flash flooding so Yellow Alert is a heads up to keep an eye on developing weather through the day tomorrow. This alert may need to be extended into Wednesday. ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Yellow Alert Tuesday for heavy rain and thunder at times this morning. No widespread flooding is expected but be prepared for wet roads and big puddles so keep speeds down while driving. Heavy rain will taper to more scattered showers and thunderstorms into the late morning and afternoon hours. The day will not be a washout, but if outdoors, be ready for pop-up strong storms and downpours. Rainfall amounts overall do not appear to be excessive with total in the half inch to inch and a half range into tonight. Showers will continue into Wednesday, but the heavy rain threat should be well to our east so Threat Tracker will go back to green.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Grab the umbrella as you leave the house this morning. Areas of light rain and drizzle will slowly clear into the afternoon for some dry time. Cloudy and cool with a few scattered showers this afternoon, but not as wet as it is this morning. Temps in the 60s and low 70s. A few scattered showers overnight into tomorrow morning will clear during the day on Thursday. Partly sunny and 70s Thursday afternoon with a slight popup shower/storm threat in the hills south of Rochester. Looking much nicer to end the week Friday with sunshine and temps into the low 80s. No thunderstorms or heavy rain expected so Threat Tracker will be green next few days.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Cloudy and drizzly weather with some areas of rain Monday morning. Grab the umbrella heading out in the morning but should be able to put it away this afternoon as the weather will dry out and clear up later in the day. Much nicer on Tuesday with sunshine and pleasant weather. Sunny and warm for Wednesday with dry weather expected midweek for any outdoor plans. Threat Tracker is green with improving conditions ahead.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Enjoy the beautiful weather Tuesday. Nothing but sunshine ahead with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity, light winds. Weather looks great for any outdoor plans Tuesday afternoon and evening. Looking ahead to Wednesday the humidity starts to head up and so do the temps. Warmer and muggier conditions will linger into Thursday and Friday, and even the start of the weekend. With higher levels of humidity, the chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase as well later in the week with some local downpours possible. Threat Tracker is green next few days.
