Kuse transformed his love for academic research into a dedication to educating today's wine drinkers – offering insights with finesse and helping to dispel the wine industry's traditionally stuffy reputation. “I started in research – I moved to California to study biology in college but got burnt out during the pandemic; I didn't stop, which is funny because now I keep going and doing things,” Kuse laughs. “But I've always loved food and drink, and I came to this point where I was like, ‘Oh, I'm focusing more on the events with work. I think I care more about those than my actual research right now.' So I decided to dive into it. Make it the same kind of intensity I had with research.”
